Meet Your instructor

Jess is passionate about self-expression through art and dance. She’s been dancing around the world for more than 10 years, and you can find some of her drawings and paintings online at Birdstrips.

She believes:

  • Art is for everyone (not just "Artists")

  • Art is for everyday life (not just museums and galleries)

  • Anything you're interested in is worth doing

  • Making mistakes and moving on is good for you

  • Art (especially "bad art"), laughter, and friendship is profoundly healing

She wants to get you laughing and painting with your friends, bring back partner-dancing in living rooms and backyards, and invite some revelry into your life.

Go on, dust off those art supplies or your old dancing shoes. Let’s try again.

The studio

All classes take place in the studio – new in January 2023! – at 869 Alder Ave. #3. Once a Thai restaurant, now a “tie up your shoes and let’s have a ball” kind of place. Go figure!
